Positive Change Push: Outer East Melbourne

Our social impact initiative, The Positive Change Push, empowers our team members to extend their impact and fund activities that promote inclusivity in our communities.

Our Outer Eastern Melbourne change makers donated their Positive Change Push funding to 4TK, a local charity that supports disadvantaged youth. But they wanted to do more so they decided to volunteer with 4TK for an evening, helping them to prepare food for their Mexican food truck.

This partnership couldn’t have been more successful – the Everyday Independence team felt a true alignment with the values of 4TK. So much so, that they’re planning to continue the partnership, and are looking to commit to three to four volunteer nights in 2024.

The following day, Project Lead Patricia received a lovely email from 4TK CEO Carissa, who expressed her gratitude and kindness:

What a blessing Everyday Independence was to 4TK last night. We had such a wonderful time, got loads of work done, and we were incredibly encouraged by the kind, generous, community-focused team members …we finished the night feeling extremely grateful. So, a big hug to you all from 4TK!

Reflecting on the night with pride, Patricia said, “We were so grateful to have been provided this opportunity. We all left the evening with huge smiles and enthusiasm about continuing to work with the game-changing organisation that is 4TK.”
