Habit Coaches

Accelerate your outcomes with cost-effective habit coaching to practice routines and skills in between therapy sessions.

How Habit Coaching Delivers More

Habit Coaches are available exclusively to our NDIS participants who receive occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy or early childhood and positive behaviour support services.

Because the best way to deliver positive change is to engage a habit coach as part of your team to practise the new skills you’ve learnt between your therapy sessions that result in life changing habits.

Meet Alice

13-year-old Alice has started high school and her goal is to catch the bus independently and get to school on time, so her therapist recommended a Habit Coach be incorporated into her therapy plan. Alice met her Habit Coach and they built rapport and discussed her goals and interests before the first session. Her Habit Coach visits her to practise her morning routine and become familiar with the habits so that she gets to school on time. This includes showering independently, eating breakfast, getting dressed and packing her bag. Her Habit Coach also helps her manage her time, practise reading the bus timetable, and which stop she needs to get on and off the bus.

How Long are Habit Coaching Sessions?

Sessions can vary in duration and frequency, but are a minimum of three hours (including travel). Sessions can be scheduled from between five weeks to 20 weeks to support you to achieve your life goals.

We’re Ready to Get you Started

A habit coach works under the guidance of a qualified practitioner, so your first step to getting started with therapy is to meet with a disability practitioner in your home. They can get to know you, your family and other support team members to understand the outcomes you all want. If you’re already receiving services speak with your practitioner who can refer you to a habit coach.
