What to Expect

For over 25 years, Everyday Independence has shown that the most impactful way to create positive change is with a team-based, community approach to delivering therapy.

The Everyday Way

When you work with Everyday Independence, don’t just expect therapy. Expect what’s needed to change your life, your way. The Everyday Way is all about making sure your NDIS funded therapy delivers more positive life change than you imagined possible.

How we Provide Services

Functional Assessments and Reports

We love providing therapy in ways that help you achieve long-term, positive life change. But if your NDIS plan requires you to provide an assessment or report, that’s no worries too.

Do you Provide Functional Capacity Assessments?

Yes, Everyday Independence can provide you with a functional capacity assessment (FCA). FCAs are conducted by occupational therapists. The report describes and rates a person’s level of participation and support needs across life tasks and factors in the person’s social and physical environment that can enhance everyday functioning. The report can also include information about funding support required to enable goal achievement. We also provide home and living, and specialised disability accommodation assessments.

Do you Assess People’s Eligibility to Enter the NDIS?

No, we don’t provide assessments or reports to support people’s eligibility to enter the NDIS. Please go to the NDIS page on our website to learn more.

Do you Provide Services to Private Customers?

We accept referrals for privately paying customers/participants who want to work with a team of therapists (minimum two disciplines) and a habit coach to practise routines and skills development between therapy sessions. We do not provide Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) services to privately paying customers, however.

If you are seeking a single therapy service such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, or speech pathology, we are happy to take your request for service and will do our best to accommodate based on practitioner availability in your area.

Early childhood supports are provided by a key worker who coordinates the services of the broader team which may include an occupational or physiotherapist, speech pathologist or habit coach.

The private rate is the same as the NDIS rate.
