Let’s explore the ways you are supported!
We get it — transitioning from university to practice can be challenging, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way. The structured steps of the Everyday Flying Start program are designed to help you navigate this shift, offering a comprehensive support system to ensure you thrive. Expect to learn how to drive real change for NDIS participants while being part of a collaborative, change-making team. You’ll benefit from industry-leading in-house training and a $1000 professional development budget to tailor your learning experience.
In your first week as a Flying Starter, you’ll meet your same discipline therapy mentor, who provides direct support through shadowing, clinical supervision, and regular check-ins during weeks two to eight of the program. Outside clinical matters, your mentor will connect you with your broader support network, which includes your team leader, career coaches, and fellow team members.
During your first four weeks, we provide a comprehensive induction to help you master the Everyday Way. You’ll engage in live learning via Microsoft Teams, self-directed study, and team interactions — starting with hub tours, tech setup, and an introduction to our values and systems. You can access Everyday Therapy Mentoring four days a week for expert advice and support and participate in monthly Communities of Practice for collaborative learning and problem-solving. Additionally, you can book Career Coaching sessions to map out your career path.
