Any NDIS participant aged 15-22 who has identified an employment or vocational outcome is eligible for employment support funding through the NDIS.
To access to our Youth Employment Program, you need NDIS Capacity Building – Finding and Keeping a Job – Employment Assistance funding. This was previously known as SLES (School Leaver Employment Support).
For a Vocational Assessment you need Employment Related Assessment, Counselling and Advice funding.
Our therapists can support you to access any of this funding if employment is one of your goals.
This broader program can be one or two years of intensive support to build skills, knowledge and confidence to join the workforce. It often commences with a vocational assessment to explore strengths and interests related to employment and can be as much as seven hours a week of assistance with employment coaches. The program broadly covers:
