From 1 July 2023, Everyday Independence will be instating a Provider Travel – non-labour cost, in line with the NDIS price guide.
Everyday Independence has always charged for the time it takes to travel in line with the NDIS guidelines and will continue to do so. In the NDIS 2020/2021 price guide, a Provider Travel non-labour cost of 97c per km was introduced to allow providers to charge for the distance travelled to and from sessions. From 1 July 2023, this additional travel component will be instated, and participants will be billed based on the following:
While Everyday Independence will endeavour to minimise these costs where possible, we understand that these changes may present some challenges for participants. If this is the case for you or someone you care for, please contact your practitioner or your local therapy hub, and we will work together to minimise the impact.
