Habit Coaching was introduced at Everyday Independence in 2021 as a solution to the industry-wide shortage of practitioners, resulting in extended waitlists and often inadequate access to support services.

Not only has the introduction of Habit Coaches driven down waitlist times at Everyday Independence, it has also increased continuity of support and magnified outcomes for participants.

Of the future potential of an extended Habit Coach program, Brianna says “I truly believe we have an opportunity to change the game and demonstrate to the sector and the NDIS how we can best support participants to achieve life changing outcomes across their life trajectory”.

Brianna Grigg joined Everyday Independence as a graduate occupational therapist more than seven years ago and has been climbing the ranks ever since. This appointment demonstrates our commitment as an organisation to create and implement strategies that enable us to extend our reach and improve outcomes for those living with a disability. It also highlights the unique opportunity that exists for practitioners at Everyday Independence and our commitment to helping them expand their career horizons and achieve their full potential.

Of her career journey so far, she says “I’m forever grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.  Having started as a new graduate Occupational Therapist and progressed into operational leadership roles including as Team Leader, Regional Lead and State Lead – the opportunities have been endless.”
