Positive Change Push: North Western Brisbane

Our social impact initiative, Positive Change Push, empowers our team members to extend their impact and fund activities that promote inclusivity in our communities.

Our change makers in North Western Brisbane discovered InsideOutside Dance at a local disability expo. When deciding on their Positive Change Push, supporting InsideOutside Dance was the ideal choice.

InsideOutside Dance enables children, teens, and adults with disabilities to participate in dancing. In addition to private lessons and group classes, they host monthly discos, open to the public. The goal of InsideOut Dance is to engage people with disability in positive, inclusive activities, and above all else, create a space where they can have fun and dance.

I had the most wonderful night at the disco, and it was clear that all attendees had an absolute blast too. Our team was really proud to be able to contribute to such a positive night.

Rebecca – Speech Pathologist

Team North Western Brisbane allocated their Positive Change push funding to InsideOutside Dance’s monthly disco. This covered costs of a DJ, food, drinks, and for support staff to attend.

Everyday Independence Speech Pathologist Rebecca attended on behalf of the team. Reflecting on the evening, Rebecca said, “I had the most wonderful night at the disco, and it was clear that all attendees had an absolute blast too. Our team was really proud to be able to contribute to such a positive night.”
