Webinar: Beyond the Therapy Session

Supporting young people with an NDIS plan to build everyday independence, relationships and pathways towards employment.

Every young person’s next step is different. For the people supporting them, knowing where to start and how to help without taking over, can be challenging.

How can you turn a young person’s interests into meaningful goals? When could additional support help? And what might progress look like in everyday life?

Join Everyday Independence for a webinar exploring these questions across everyday independence, friendships, relationships and work. Through practical examples, we’ll share ways to identify next steps, involve young people in decisions and connect support around what matters to them.

You’ll also learn how our youth therapy, relationship education and employment services can contribute to these goals.

Register to attend or receive a recording

  • Friendships and relationships: an introduction to the Everyday Relationships Program, a six-week, small-group program offering accessible learning about relationships, sexual health, boundaries, consent and safety.
  • Pathways towards work: how vocational assessments and employment supports help young people explore their strengths, interests and opportunities, and build skills for work.
  • Support that works together: the role of a youth lead practitioner, where available, in delivering support and bringing the right team together.
  • Where to start: service suitability, funding options, local availability and enquiry and referral pathways.

There will also be time to ask questions.
