How can Occupational Therapy Help You?

  • Assistive technologies to increase independence and make daily living easier
  • Improving social skills and connections with other people through friendship
  • Enjoying hobbies and interests to improve wellbeing and mental health
  • Building resilience to deal with life challenges to ‘bounce back’ from problems.
  • Strategies and support to learn new skills
  • Making environments safer and more accessible to maximise independence
  • Advice on wheelchair seating, and trialling equipment
  • Home modifications to move around home easily
  • Support to transitions to school, university or a new job

We’re Ready to Get you Started

Getting started with occupational therapy is easy. We’ll arrange for Everyday Independence disability practitioner to come to your home. They’ll get to know you, your family and other support team members to learn what’s important to you. They’ll look at your life from all angles to understand the supports you need to make the positive change you desire.

They’ll build a plan that outlines the best mix of practitioners (including a habit coach) and therapy supports needed to set you on a pathway towards positive change. If your child and family are receiving early childhood support, a key worker will develop a child and family support plan.

Not yet an NDIS participant? Visit our NDIS pages for information on getting your plan funded.
