Joining Everyday Independence as a speech pathologist in 2020, Tessa’s eagerness to make an impact in the disability sector has seen her career grow exponentially over the last four years! From the beginning, Tessa learned and practised the impactful social model.
As a social model speech pathologist, Tessa works in the community, the Everyday Way, in the places individuals spend their time. She recognises and celebrates the diverse ways individuals communicate, and tailors interventions to honour and embrace their individuals’ strengths.
Utilising internal training opportunities and pursuing her areas of interest allowed Tessa to advance her skillset—which is when she found her passion for supporting children.
