Continue ReadingThis July, the rugby league field came alive with energy, laughter, and community spirit as children of all abilities took part in Try Together: Bulldogs All-Abilities Rugby League Clinic, a collaborative event hosted by the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Everyday Independence and Supporting Disabilities Australia.
This specially designed clinic gave children with intellectual disabilities the chance to experience the excitement of rugby league in a supportive and welcoming environment. With guidance from Bulldogs players, staff, and dedicated volunteers, participants built new skills, made friends, and most importantly – had fun.
This free event was made possible by the shared vision of the organising partners; The Bulldogs, Everyday Independence, and Supporting Disabilities Australia. Together, we created an experience that was about more than sport as families, support workers, and organisers watched children thrive in an inclusive and accessible environment.
Events like Try Together are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when inclusion is at the heart of community experiences.
This event ignited the passions of people with a disability, honouring their talents in a space crafted with their voices at its heart. It sparked connection, pride, and a celebration of belonging
