About the Roles
We’re excited to be expanding our positive behaviour support services into Canberra, Darwin, Maroochydore and Hobart, and we’re looking for passionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners and Clinical Supervisors to help us launch services in these new regions.
Whether you’re an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner ready to step into a new location or a seasoned clinician looking to take on a leadership role, we want to hear from you. Relocation packages are available to help make your move seamless.
What You’ll Do
Depending on your level of experience, you’ll:
- Deliver person-centred positive behaviour support to participants in their communities
- Develop high-quality behaviour support plans that are functional, strengths-based, and responsive to individual needs
- Collaborate with families, support networks and other professionals
- Contribute to Everyday Independence’s values-based and evidence-informed practice
- For Clinical Supervisors, you’ll mentor and support colleagues, including early-career therapists and those completing their EFS program, champion clinical excellence and promote the use of evidence-based practices, facilitate learning and development to build team capability and inspire others by modelling our Clinical Model and living our values
Who We Are Looking For

To work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters or Graduate Diploma) and relevant registration such as the below:
- If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
- If you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
- If you are a Social Worker, you will have a degree in Social Work and eligible for AASW membership
- If you are a Mental Health Nurse, you’ll have a degree in Nursing and AHPRA registration
- You have a degree in Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field
You’ll also need:
- Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- A positive and flexible approach to work
- Strong communication skills and be a team player
- Commitment to personal and professional growth
- A valid Australian drivers license
- Current, state/territory specific Working with Children Check
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
