Join the team trailblazing Positive Behaviour Support
Everyday Independence Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioners are occupational therapists and mental health nurses who are specifically trained to support people who use behaviours that challenge.
Our PBS practitioners are highly passionate about bridging the gap between mental health and disability to support people to live a quality life and with fewer restrictions.
When you join our team, we’ll train and equip you with everything you need to provide evidence-based PBS services to make a greater impact in people’s lives.
You’ll learn from people who are at the forefront of delivering best practice PBS and remove social barriers that prevent people from realising their true abilities. With new perks, unrivalled learning and development programs, and vibrant hub life, it’s never been a better time to join us.
“As as a PBS Practitioner I support people in the places they spend their time which helps me to understand the dynamics of their environment and how this impacts their behaviours. I really enjoy working with people to problem-solve and recommend creative strategies and solutions that help to improve their quality of life.” – Josh, PBS Practitioner.
Your New Everyday
Our PBS Practitioners work alongside their clients and trusted networks, in the community, to build their confidence and support them to realise their life goals. Here are some of the activities our PBS Practitioners did last week:
- Worked alongside a person’s family, carer, and other support networks to understand the reasons why a person uses behaviours of concern
- Used their expertise to recommend strategies that meet the client’s need
- Worked with carers at a day program and supported them to build their skills and confidence
- Attended peer group supervision/mentoring and other internal supports to help grow expertise and skills
- Dropped into the local hub to write a report, or to attend a weekly team meeting
