Social Skills Groups
Getting along well with others is an important ability. Sometimes children need extra help to learn how to manage their own behaviour and interact with their peers. Our therapists often intergrate social skills learning into individual therapy and they help support children and their families to practice these skills in the different environments that the child is in everyday, like at kindergarten, home, the park or at school.
It can also be very helpful to participate in a social skills group with other children to formally learn and practice these skills in a supportive and fun environment. Everyday Independence offers a range of social skills groups each targeted at different ages and interests at our locations in Melbourne, Bendigo and Geelong.
- PALS Social Skills Program - ages 3 to 6 years
- Everyday Kids LEGO Social Skills Group - ages 6 to 10 years
- Superflex Social Thinking Group - primary school aged children
